Join our team and help shape the voice of a leading financial services firm. In this role, you’ll support storytelling initiatives that highlight our mission, culture, and impact, while gaining hands-on experience in content writing, supporting media relations, and strategic communications. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team to craft compelling narratives that resonate with internal and/or external audiences. This internship offers a unique opportunity to build your skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate should be local to the San Diego office during the time of the internship and will work on a hybrid schedule. (2-3 days in the office)

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027
  • Interest in the Marketing and Public Relations industry
  • Offer is contingent upon successful background screening and agreement to be local to the San Diego office
  • Selected candidates will operate out of the office working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills with the ability to write engaging content and provide recommendations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of Generative AI, SEO principles, keyword research, social media management tools and platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Planned course of study in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations is preferred
  • Interest in story shaping and storytelling, especially as it pertains to financial services
  • Knowledge of Public Relations tools such as Cision

Responsibilities

  • Draft press releases and other PR-related copy.
  • Media analysis and PR reporting.
  • Team project management and execution support.
  • Refresh media/reporter database
  • Get to know us as an employer and experience our working culture up close through our summer programming events
