Department of Synthetic Molecule Pharmaceutics (SMP) is part of the Synthetic Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences (SMPS) organization. Our department is committed to developing and delivering safe, effective and high-quality formulations in support of research and clinical development for the synthetic molecules coming out of gRED. Our research spans from fundamental understanding of physicochemical properties of molecules to drug delivery technologies needed for the development and manufacturing of dosage forms. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. Contribute to the design and optimization of novel laboratory instrumentation and process technologies, utilizing sensors and data acquisition systems. Assist in the manufacturing and analysis of tablet formulations to evaluate material properties and processing behaviors. Execute physicochemical characterization experiments on pharmaceutical materials, focusing on powder mechanics and solid dosage form performance. Generate high-quality experimental datasets to support the validation of computational models and predictive algorithms. Assist with compiling data, analyze experimental results, maintain accurate records, and present technical findings to cross-functional scientific teams. Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June 2026. A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
