About The Position

The Program Operations Intern supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of energy efficiency programs within ICF’s Energy Efficiency Division. This role provides hands-on experience in program operations and offers a valuable opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a professional setting. As an intern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development of high-quality products and services, and gain exposure to major projects and client interactions. This experience is designed to help build foundational skills in project management, communication, and teamwork, while deepening your understanding of energy-efficient technologies and utility-sponsored programs. This is an entry-level, 10-week, full time internship that begins in early June 2026. The work may be fully remote from any U.S. location. Pay is expected to be $23 per hour. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation nor housing assistance.

Requirements

  • Time management and task prioritization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Query) is a plus
  • By start date, a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours is required preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, Energy Management, or a related field.
  • Must be able to pass any required background check(s), which may include drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of program activities and events.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support program planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare and maintain program documentation, including reports, schedules, and meeting minutes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
  • Provide administrative support, such as scheduling meetings and managing communications.
  • Support the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services.
