About The Position

In this role you will support Operations Program Managers (OPM) across multiple projects/products by overseeing production planning and execution activities, tracking on-time delivery data, supporting root cause and corrective action analysis, contributing to First Article Inspection plans, and participating in continuous improvement projects. In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program, entering College Junior or Senior year in Business, Math, Science, Technology, Engineering
  • Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities and able to work independently
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent team player who is willing to contribute and learn

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support affordability plans to help drive cost reduction activities.
  • Manage First Article Inspection (FAI) priorities as defined by OPMs across various programs.
  • Support root cause and corrective action analysis to resolve manufacturing and supply chain issues.
  • Track on-time delivery data and reasons to help improve metrics and manage look-ahead reviews.
  • Support the manufacturing transition to production and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
