2026 Summer Intern - Global MSAT and Engineering Department Summary Global MSAT (Manufacturing Science & Technology) is responsible for driving robustness (technical product health) for our commercial Bioprocesses. Our focus is partnering with manufacturing sites and other global functions to develop and apply bioprocess and product knowledge to ensure robust commercial manufacturing processes. GMSAT also provides technical leadership during the transfer of bioprocesses to new manufacturing sites. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. Job Description Summary We are seeking an innovative and inquisitive intern to join our Global MSAT team. In this role, you will practically apply academic principles in a Roche/Genentech (RGNE) setting while contributing to business-critical projects. You will be assigned a variety of tasks relevant to the assigned subfunction and/or special projects for the assigned subfunction. Future employment with RGNE may be a possibility subject to job availability, candidate qualification, and past performance. Assignments vary but typically support the activities of regular employees, such as entry-level research and reporting, analyses and modeling, preparing materials for others, coordinating small events or meetings, or improving basic departmental business operations. You will report to and be mentored by a Product Technical Lead/Steward, supporting key activities to drive product robustness/technical health. The ideal candidate is a self-starter deeply curious and energized by learning. You should be able to work independently and prioritize and manage multiple commitments. This role will also work closely with experienced Bioprocess Engineers and Scientists and will collaborate through cross functional teams. The Opportunity Spearhead and/or participate in workstream initiatives. Drive progress for assigned project(s) and provide support to other related intern projects as time permits. Facilitate small meetings as appropriate. Other activities as assigned by supervisor/mentor. Seek out information across multiple functions to complete the project. Program Highlights Intensive 6 months, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June (Summer). A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects. Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
