2026 Summer Intern - Business Manager - ECD Chief of Staff Office
About The Position
Genentech’s Research and Early Development (gRED) Early Clinical Development (ECD) is responsible for crafting and implementing early development clinical strategies and plans to provide proof-of-concept data for safety, efficacy, and biomarker utility for gRED's new molecular entities. The Business Managers in the Chief of Staff Office serve as strategic thought partners, driving short-term and long-term business planning, strategy development, and execution. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to experience the role of a Business Manager. Collaborating closely with the ECD Chief of Staff and other Business Managers, you will gain experience in strategic partnerships to drive business planning, strategy development, and execution.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student - undergraduate students with 2–3 years of coursework in business, operations, or a STEM-related field).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Agile mindset to adapt to changing work demands.
- Passion for learning with a willingness to adopt new tools/processes.
- Enthusiasm for sharing colleagues' accomplishments.
- Proficiency with Google Suite products.

Responsibilities
- Data analysis, organization & presentation.
- Project coordination and management.
- Evaluating best practices and streamlining standard work processes.
- Contributing to meetings and events (e.g. Town Halls, functional team meetings).
