About The Position

Genentech’s Research and Early Development (gRED) Early Clinical Development (ECD) is responsible for crafting and implementing early development clinical strategies and plans to provide proof-of-concept data for safety, efficacy, and biomarker utility for gRED's new molecular entities. The Business Managers in the Chief of Staff Office serve as strategic thought partners, driving short-term and long-term business planning, strategy development, and execution. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to experience the role of a Business Manager. Collaborating closely with the ECD Chief of Staff and other Business Managers, you will gain experience in strategic partnerships to drive business planning, strategy development, and execution.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student - undergraduate students with 2–3 years of coursework in business, operations, or a STEM-related field).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Agile mindset to adapt to changing work demands.
  • Passion for learning with a willingness to adopt new tools/processes.
  • Enthusiasm for sharing colleagues' accomplishments.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite products.

Responsibilities

  • Data analysis, organization & presentation.
  • Project coordination and management.
  • Evaluating best practices and streamlining standard work processes.
  • Contributing to meetings and events (e.g. Town Halls, functional team meetings).
