About The Position

NAF FRL Intern projects will center around Technology and Innovation, where interns will work hands-on with teams that are critical to Pratt & Whitney’s growth through innovation, technology development, and continuous improvement. Interns will be able to incorporate new expertise into their projects from what they learn in workshops and other professional development events. The final week of the internship will be spent preparing a professional presentation sharing key insights and skills developed during their experience, which interns will deliver to a panel of company executives and industry leaders. The Customer Training Center is a mission-critical support system for Pratt & Whitney Customers worldwide. Potential project areas at the CTC include: Communications and Marketing STEM Program Management Cultural Research & Brief Writing CORE Methods and Tools The Pratt & Whitney Customer Training Centers are the premier destinations for learning and collaboration, welcoming customers and colleagues from across the globe. In our East Hartford location, you’ll work alongside a highly skilled, customer-focused team as Ambassadors to the NAF program gaining valuable experience and knowledge along the way. National Academy Foundation Future Ready Lab (NAF FRL) Internship Program Pratt & Whitney, An RTX Business, is working to, once again, transform the future of flight—designing, building and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. And because transformation begins from within, we’re seeking the people to drive it. So, calling all curious. NAF’s Future Ready Lab powered by Pratt & Whitney is a unique paid internship opportunity designed for students at NAF Academies in the Greater Hartford, CT area. Interns will take part in skill-building workshops, gain hands-on experience in a professional setting, and collaborate with team members and mentors to complete a business project. This paid internship experience will take place over the course of eight weeks starting in June 2026. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled at East Hartford AOE Hartford Public High School (HPHS)
  • Pathways Academy of Technology & Design
  • New Britain MET
  • Other qualifications
  • Rising seniors (summer between 11th & 12th grade)
  • Minimum of a 2.5 GPA
  • Commitment to all dates and times of the internship
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
