We are seeking an intern to help us develop and implement programming for students in grades 3 through college. For example: As a member of our team, you'll contribute to helping us prepare for the 2025-2026 school year and implementing summer workshops and events. Your primary responsibility will be to provide programmatic support for APL’s Pathways, ASPIRE, MESA, STEM Academy, and outreach programs. Programmatic support includes but is not limited to: Developing and maintaining a student project hub, developing and publishing a weekly newsletter, developing and sharing content via instant messaging platforms (Slack), and other duties as assigned. You will partner with the STEM Program Management Office’s 5 specialists to coordinate workshops, assist with student onboarding, chaperone and assist middle school Space Camp students, administer surveys, and develop and update programmatic content for the 2027 program year. You will also help the ASPIRE, MESA, and STEM Academy Specialists prepare our student information and learning management systems for the 2027 program year. In addition to your programmatic duties, you will organize supplies, maintain learning lab equipment, help facilitate lab tours, analyze data, and make program improvement recommendations.

Requirements

  • Are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in labor and human resources, organizational management, psychology, communications, business, education, or related degree.
  • Have a passion for providing transformative experiences for future STEM professionals.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Are able to access APL’s facilities and networks, US Citizenship or permanent resident status is required, subject to applicable laws.

  • Have experience developing and implementing STEM programming for students in primary, secondary, or post-secondary school.
  • Are considering a career in STEM education.
