A career in (Medical & Scientific Affairs) where none of us stand still. The US Wellness Medical & Scientific Affairs team plays a pivotal role advancing the trusted science behind our Wellness brands including Centrum, Emergen-C, Benefiber, and Caltrate. The Wellness Science Intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable experiences by contributing to key projects and initiatives that build on the research and evidence base of the across our Wellness brands and generate new ideas for innovation, claims, and communications. Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate (minimum requirement - junior year completed by start of internship) program with a Nutrition, Human Nutrition, or Food Science background.
  • The candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented, analytical, and adaptable/flexible to meet the needs of a fast-paced/dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with scientific writing experience preferred.
  • Able to work onsite for the duration of the internship at our Warren, NJ office

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience in industry is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team scientist(s) and external researchers/academics on business priorities.
  • Critically evaluate scientific evidence to address business needs through literature searches, evidence analysis, and synthesis of the data.
  • Contribute to cross-functional team collaborations (Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Marketing, Safety, Product Development, etc.)
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and emerging trends in wellness, nutrition, and dietary supplements to inform scientific strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deeply understand consumer needs and behaviors and match them with existing or emerging scientific evidence to inform product innovation, claims, and communication strategies.
