About The Position

The position is for a compassionate Nurse (LPN or LVN) to provide private duty in-home nursing care to school-aged pediatric clients (3 years old+) for the upcoming 2024 school year throughout Erie County. This role emphasizes one-on-one care, allowing nurses to build ongoing relationships with clients and make a significant difference in their lives by caring for them in the comfort of their own homes. Nurses will utilize their clinical expertise and critical thinking skills, while being supported by a dedicated team with 24/7 clinical support. Requirements

• Active and current license to practice as a professional nurse (LPN or LVN)
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned
• A calm and reassuring presence
• Active listening skills
• Excellent assessment skills
• Strong written and verbal communication

Nice To Haves

• Previous home health care experience (welcomed, but not required)
• Experience working with children (not required, training provided)

Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest-quality care to pediatric clients (from birth through 18) with a variety of diagnoses
• Work at the top of your scope if you choose, with the opportunity to provide complex care including trach & vent management
• Provide family education
• Perform clinical assessments
• Provide nursing care according to care plan
• Administer medication, treatment, and therapy
