Top Skills Required To Be In Growth Marketing

Published on
March 9, 2021

In an effort to better understand the dynamic of career paths we have been studying job descriptions to see what skills and abilities are required for roles at varying levels. Given the rise in demand for Growth Marketing roles, we started there.  Since companies use titles in very different ways, we also had to normalize the levels. We used L1 (1-2 years), L2 (2-4 years), L3 (4-6 years) and L4 (6-8+ years). L4 is often senior manager or Director. We did not map VP and C Level positions for this exercise.  Below is what we found by analyzing 88 Job descriptions in startups with less than 500 employees.

If you’re looking for a Growth Marketing roll, we’re hiring! Please see the Job posting here: https://www.tealhq.com/careers/senior-growth-marketer
