About The Position

Hillcrest Youth Services is seeking a PRN (part-time, as-needed) Youth Worker to join their team in Evansville, IN. This role involves the supervision and support of youth in a residential program. Flexible scheduling is available, including weekday and weekend shifts on 2nd (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) and 3rd (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) shifts. Applicants must be available a minimum of three days per month. A 2-week training program is required upon hire.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Work schedule: Second shift 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm; Third shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
• Applicants must be available a minimum of three (3) days per month
• A 2-week training program (Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) is required upon hire
• Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance
• Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred
• Previous work with juveniles highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervision of residents
• Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents
• Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times
• Maintain complete and accurate resident records
• Administer appropriate medication(s)
• Knowledge of policy and procedure manual
• Transportation of residents
• Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit
• Ability to work with youth of all ages
• Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrest's programming
