About The Position

Hillcrest Youth Services is seeking a Full-Time Youth Worker (2nd Shift) to join their residential program teams. This role involves supervising youth in their care. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with an hourly rate of $18. A 2nd Shift Differential of $0.50 is also offered. All new employees are required to complete a 2-week training program, with the first week mostly completed during Monday-Friday, First Shift hours 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance
• Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Previous work with juveniles highly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervision of residents
• Work schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Ability to be a positive role model
• Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents
• Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times
• Maintain complete and accurate resident records
• Ability to manage personal stress
• Administer appropriate medication(s)
• Knowledge of policy and procedure manual
• Transportation of residents
• Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit
• Ability to work with youth of all ages
• Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrest's programming
