As our Youth Sports Director, you’ll be the MVP leading the charge in creating an amazing sports environment for children aged 3 and up. Your role will be all about fun, growth, and ensuring that every young athlete feels like a champion. Here’s how you’ll make the magic happen:

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Education, or a related field OR 4 plus years of experience in youth sports or program management.
• Knowledge of youth sports issues, instruction practice, program creation and facilitation, and community outreach.
• A natural leader with fantastic communication and organizational skills.
• Someone who’s energetic, creative, and ready to bring the fun every day.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Design & Deliver Awesome Programs: Create exciting sports programs for kids of all skill levels – from the energetic 3-year-olds to the budding stars in their teens. Plan and schedule a variety of sports activities, including soccer, basketball, gymnastics, and more.
• Lead & Inspire: Recruit, train, and cheer on our team of coaches and volunteers, ensuring they bring enthusiasm and expertise to every session. Be a role model and mentor, encouraging kids to have fun, stay active, and develop their skills.
• Be the Community Connector: Engage with parents, participants, and community members, keeping everyone informed and excited about our sports offerings. Promote our programs through fun events, social media, and community outreach.
• Champion Safety & Excellence: Ensure all activities are safe, inclusive, and align with YMCA values. Maintain organized records, manage program budgets, and always look for ways to improve our sports programs.
• Grow & Innovate: Keep up with the latest in youth sports trends and bring fresh ideas to our programs. Seek out new opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships to enhance our offerings.
