About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the delivery of transitionservices to students and youths with disabilities liaising between schools, community partners, and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors (VRC). This position provides technical assistance, training, and evaluation for the delivery of Pre-Employment Transition Services (PrePagETS) and Transition Services. This position will handle contract administration for Pre- ETS and Transition Services, this will be done by contracting with local school districts and community providers for students and youth with disabilities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; AND two years experience coordinating or administering a program.
  • OR Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
  • PROGRAM COORDINATION: involves planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve specific program goals. A program coordinator oversees the administrative activities of a designated program, ensuring that all aspects run smoothly and objectives are met. This role includes developing schedules, coordinating resources, and monitoring progress to execute the program effectively
  • PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION: refers to the management, oversight, and coordination of specific programs or initiatives within an organization. A program administrator is responsible for planning, implementing, and leading these programs, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This role often involves overseeing program operations, managing budgets, coordinating staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Experience with coordinating programs or services that involve multiple stakeholders such as schools, community organizations, or service providers.
  • Experience with developing or supporting training, presentations, or technical guidance for staff, partners, or community groups.
  • Experience with monitoring or evaluating programs, projects, or contracts to ensure quality, compliance, or performance outcomes.
  • Experience with collecting, organizing, and analyzing information or data to support reporting, decision‑making, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience with building collaborative relationships and communicating effectively with diverse partners, such as educators, community organizations, or government agencies.
  • Knowledge of the application of Workforce Innovation And Opportunities Act and Individuals with Disabilities Act as they relate to the shared responsibility of providing transition services.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license or another means to achieve necessary travel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination/Delivery of VR Transition Services and Quality Assurance/Documentation Work with local VR Branches and school districts to coordinate and create the provision of VR funded Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS).
  • Develop policy and procedural guidance around Pre-ETS, VR Youth Services, inter-agency collaboration, then train VR staff and partners on these.
  • Lead, negotiate, develop and implement Pre-ETS activities in alignment with program requirements.
  • Implement community outreach to educate parents and students about VR process and policies including Pre- ETS, Transition Services and the eligibility process. This can include attending school and community events, conferences, and workshops.
  • Promote public awareness about Pre-ETS and VR Transition Services.
  • Maintain database of youth program information and performance relating to Pre-Employment Transition Services, and VR Transition Services, and track school programs related to these services.
  • Produce reports on the pre-employment activities and Transition Services that are occurring in local school districts and with other stakeholders.
  • Perform procedures and records maintenance to meet requirements for verification and authorization of Pre-ETS for assigned region.
  • Conducts audits of contractors to ensure fidelity of service delivery.
