Youth Program Education Assistant I - Whitaker PRTF
About The Position
We are currently recruiting for multiple Youth Program Education Assistant I's for all shifts for Whitaker Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) in Butner, NC. Youth Program Education Assistant I's provide direct support and facilitate daily programming activities for intellectually/developmentally disabled teens and young adults who exhibit extreme behavioral challenges. Job duties include but are not limited to providing supervision and ensuring safety of individuals, assisting in educational and/or vocational programming, facilitating indoor/outdoor leisure activities and encouraging participation
Requirements
- Associate's degree in human services or related degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Necessary Special Qualifications As required by facility, CPR certification and listing as a Nurse Aide I or Nurse Aide II by the NC Division of Health Service Regulation required prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Must be able to pass and maintain all hospital required training during probationary period (including, but not limited to, NCVI/APT, CPR, Fire Safety, etc.)
- Current North Carolina State driver's license
