About The Position

The Youth Program Administrator plays a critical role in driving the day-to-day performance, alignment, and operational success of the Youth Mental Health Program. This position ensures program initiatives are executed effectively, staffing needs are met, and operations run smoothly. The Administrator supports team coordination, reinforces program standards, tracks key performance indicators, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts that enhance youth outcomes and overall program impact. In partnership with program leadership, the Youth Program Administrator actively supports the client engagement strategies, facilitates internal and external communication, and helps maintain a culture of accountability. This role also plays a hands-on part in community outreach, coordination of special projects, and the implementation of workflows that strengthen the program’s infrastructure and service delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, particularly with youth and adolescents, is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and an understanding of therapeutic approaches and mental health interventions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and challenges in youth mental health.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement and Stakeholder Coordination
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to support referrals and program visibility.
  • Represent the program at events and meetings to promote services and build community trust.
  • Support outreach efforts to ensure youth and family voices inform program delivery.
  • Program Implementation and Improvement
  • Coordinate the execution of youth mental health services in alignment with evidence-based practices and program goals.
  • Support the rollout of new initiatives and regularly provide feedback to improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • Monitor participation, engagement, and program alignment with community needs.
  • Cross-Functional Communication and Collaboration
  • Serve as a liaison between administrative, clinical, and outreach teams to ensure clear communication and coordinated care.
  • Support interdisciplinary meetings to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Facilitate timely follow-up on action items, service planning, and operational issues across the team.
  • Team Coordination and Support
  • Assist with staff coordination and ensure adequate coverage for program services and events.
  • Assist with orientation and training for new team members who join the Youth Program.
  • Promote a supportive team culture by reinforcing accountability and performance expectations.
  • Program Monitoring and Reporting
  • Track key performance indicators related to service delivery, client outcomes, and program utilization.
  • Present data insights to support program planning and leadership meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date trackers and records to support data-driven decisions.
  • Operational Compliance and Quality Oversight
  • Ensure alignment with DBH and internal standards, including documentation timelines and required service protocols.
  • Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership on pilots or innovation projects that address emerging community needs.
  • Support time-limited initiatives, community events, and strategic efforts aimed at improving access, engagement, or outcomes of the Youth Program.
