About The Position

As a Youth Prevention Advocate, you will play a key role in Selah Freedom's prevention efforts by delivering exploitation-prevention trainings to youth throughout Sarasota County. This position focuses on facilitating K-12 trainings in schools and youth-serving organizations, building strong community relationships, and expanding access to prevention education through outreach and partnership development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about youth education, prevention, and community impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with youth, prevention education, or vulnerable populations preferred
  • Clean driving record required
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with or supporting survivors of exploitation or human trafficking is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate exploitation-prevention trainings for youth (grades K-12) across Sarasota County
  • Coordinate and schedule trainings with schools, school districts, and community partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with youth-serving organizations to expand training opportunities
  • Conduct outreach and community engagement to promote Selah Freedom's youth prevention program
  • Represent Selah Freedom at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Complete required data collection, reporting, and documentation in accordance with the Prevention Manual
  • Attend regular team and organizational meetings
  • Assist with prevention-related special projects as assigned
