About The Position

BBAY is a partnership of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, local school districts, and colleges focused on improving youth wellbeing, graduation, and pathways to college and career. The Youth Engagement Specialist leads outreach and relationship-building with youth, primarily supporting the Reimagine Black Youth Mental Health (RBYMH) Initiative. Core duties include recruiting youth, facilitating youth-centered spaces and events, teaching the Safety Online curriculum in partner schools, supporting youth voice projects, and assisting the RBYMH Coordinator and BBAY team.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior work with youth leadership groups
  • Experience organizing projects with diverse communities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
