The Youth Opportunities Supervisor (YOS) is a leader on the Office of Children, Youth and Families Transition Age Youth team. The program area of Transition Age Youth encompasses services provided by the Department of Human Services (DHS) to ensure that young adults (generally ages 14-23) will successfully transition to adulthood. The Youth Opportunities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing youth programs, including Asset Matching Program (AMP), Systems Improvement Through Youth (SITY), Speakers Bureau. The YOS will organize youth events and other relevant opportunities that arise. Additionally, the YOS will be responsible for leading staff who assist with reunification efforts and placement stabilization. The Youth Opportunities Supervisor will work collaboratively with DHS leadership, support offices, and Transition Age Youth staff internally and externally. Incumbent will have regular supervision with the Transition Age Youth Manager. Local and long-distance travel as required.
