About The Position

The Youth Mentor working for the Kids Program for Assertive Community Treatment (KPACT), provides behavioral management support, social skill development, intensive supervision, crisis stabilization services, transportation, and family support to children and adolescents with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities in the home, school, and community settings. Assists with the implementation of the client’s and family’s treatment plan by facilitating treatment/behavioral strategies to assist with the achievement of identified goals. Develops and maintains working relationships with: individuals served, families and/or caregivers, other NRVCS programs, and other community agencies and resources as needed to ensure quality services. Works as part of the KPACT treatment team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served to live and function optimally in the community. Starting Hourly Rate: $16.26-Depending on Experience

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in human services, or a related field and at least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health, and/or substance abuse preferred.
  • Experience working with adults, children, and families is preferred.
