About The Position

Under the supervision of the 21CCLC Site Coordinator, this position is primarily concerned with planning, organizing, leading, and supervising physical activity and academic curriculum for children in grades K – 5.

All 21CCLC positions are dependent on the availability of funds and continuation of the 21CCLC contract. The current contract provides programming for the following three school years (2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024) with the possibility of extension for an additional two years (2024-2025 and 2025-2026).

Requirements

• Requires understanding of child development, group management, group work, program, and communications.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certified (training available upon hire)
• All 21CCLC positions are dependent on the availability of funds and continuation of the 21CCLC contract. The current contract provides programming for the following three school years (2025-2026, 2026-2027, and 2027-2028) with the possibility of extension for an additional two years (2028-2029 and 2029-2030).

Responsibilities

• Plans and leads age and developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a classroom or group setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Participates in planning and implementation of special events such as family nights and program activities.
• Able to complete mandatory training.
• Must be people-oriented.
