Reports To: Crisis Services Director / Crisis Services Supervisor Compensation: Hourly Employee; Commensurate with experience. Sign on bonuses available for qualified candidates. Position Summary: The Youth Crisis Assessment Therapist role is a full-time position comprised of multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities related to the FACE to FACE Crisis Services Program. This position requires work in a residential unit and will require working closely with clinical and administrative staff and consumers of all populations, specifically with children, to ensure efficient service delivery. Desired Skills: Ability to multi-task; use of time management. Ability to work well on a multi-disciplinary team. Strong written and verbal communication.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
Active current clinical licensure (LLC, LLMSW, LLP acceptable; full licensure preferred; TLLP not eligible) in the State of Michigan and continued satisfactory standings with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
One to two years of crisis work experience highly preferred.
Ability to work well with diverse populations, including children required.
Ability to assess situations quickly, problem-solve, and implement appropriate interventions.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes respect, diversity, acceptance, and compassion while maintaining professional and appropriate boundaries with clients and staff at all times.
Deliver intensive FACE to FACE crisis care services, with a focus on children, while also serving other populations as needed.
Triage crisis calls and provide immediate therapeutic interventions in a residential unit to stabilize individuals in crisis.
Conduct clinical assessments, intakes, and provide individual, family, and group therapy in alignment with professional standards and facility protocols.
Manage and resolve high-stress crisis situations using sound clinical judgment and best practices.
Complete Pre-Admission and Utilization Reviews, as assigned.
Identify and respond to verbal and non-verbal cues of potential aggressive behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Respond to critical situations, including CPI-approved physical interventions and CPR, as required.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
Adhere to all security and operational procedures, staying current with professional training requirements.
Attend and participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Communicate daily with Crisis Services staff regarding clinical and administrative matters, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Exhibit a positive attitude toward learning and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrate ability to accept constructive feedback, implement guidance, and show a willingness to grow and improve professionally.
Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
