About The Position

The Mentoring Alliance is seeking a ministry-minded Youth Care Worker to join their Summer Camps team. This temporary, summer-only position involves leading groups of campers through their daily program, which includes Bible study, activity classes, meals, worship times, and other events. The organization is looking for individuals devoted to excellence, wholeheartedness, and developing children to reach their full potential, serving as role models and having an eternal impact on kids in the community. Mentoring Alliance Summer Camps hire various individuals, including teachers, youth workers, and college students, to serve and develop children through Christian ministry, offering day camps and summer activities. The core mission is to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, providing tangible help and eternal hope, with every Youth Care Worker considered a Minister of the Gospel.

Requirements

Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
Must be at least 16 years of age
Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
Able to work Monday-Friday during the summer months
Ability to earn mandatory CPR/First Aid certification
Dependable transportation
HS diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or G.E.D and some post-secondary training highly preferred
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) greatly valued
Pursuing AA or BA/BS (preferred)
Working with youth: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities

Lead a group of campers through their daily program
Facilitate daily program activities including Bible study, activity classes, meals, worship times, and other events
Influence, impact, and serve the kids and families in the community
Be a role model to kids
