About The Position

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Care Worker at Les Peters Youth Academy in Tampa, Florida✨ Les Peters Academy is a moderate risk residential commitment program for female youth aged 14 to 19. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program. A youth’s length of stay is determined by the youth's assessed risk to reoffend, their progress in reducing applicable criminogenic needs and risk factors, and the completion of their individualized treatment plan. After 41 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. Requirements

Possess a High School Diploma or GED
Have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
Possess a Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth.
Monitor and document behaviors
Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time
Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
