About The Position

One Hope United’s residential care program provides a range of quality services to adolescents in foster care. Youth entering residential care are traumatized and sometimes in crisis. As a Youth Care Worker in this residential program, you will be part of a close-knit team that provides a range of mental health services to youth, offering meaningful work and direct fulfillment by making a difference in people's lives.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Must be 21-years-old according to contract requirements
Auto Insurance required
Drivers License required
Physical Exam/TB required

Nice To Haves

1-3 years of human services experience

Responsibilities

Provide supervision for the youth in their residential home
Train, model, and skill-build for the youth
Teach the youth skills in daily living, recreational activities, socialization, and independent living through individual and group instruction
Empower youth toward the goals outlined in their Individual Treatment Plans and the OHU Residential Program Plans
Be trained in the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) approved behavior modification program (receiving a certification)
Be a vital part of the youth’s growth and development
