About The Position

As a Youth Care Specialist, you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience. You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is great start to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields!

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Class E driver's license with good driving record
• Strong customer service focus
• Excellent time management
• Oral and written communication skills
• Word, Excel, and e-mail applications proficiency
• Must be 21 years old to apply
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required

Responsibilities

• Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including: Providing meals and snacks Assisting with personal care Monitoring medication Intervening in crisis situations
• Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including: Creating a positive and supportive environment Managing conflict Enforcing house rules
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients, including:Attending treatment team meetings Providing input on treatment plansImplementing treatment plans
