This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position, with shifts up to 12 hours per day and a maximum of 19 hours per week, including weekends. Shifts may vary, and the position is considered essential, requiring on-call duty and reporting during inclement weather. Remote work is not an option for this role.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • At least 20 years of age
  • Ability to pass a thorough criminal background investigation, including a medical and drug/alcohol screening
  • Knowledge of dealing with people
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of legalities of restricted environment
  • Ability to successfully pass licensing for Correctional Officer Certificate
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Availability to work weekends - 8 to 12 hours per shift
  • Availability to be on-call duty and the ability to report during inclement weather
