This Per Diem Youth Apprenticeship - Medical Assistant is a Per Diem at Beloit Health System located in Beloit, WI. The Youth Apprentice will be involved in day-to-day tasks to support healthcare professionals, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the overall patient care experience.
Requirements
- Must be a current High School Student, 16 years of age or older
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a healthcare environment
Nice To Haves
- Basic understanding of medical terminology helpful
Responsibilities
- Apply infection prevention controls
- Apply standard precautions
- Respond to patient inquiries in professionally
- Perform administrative tasks
- Clean exam rooms
- Assist with taking vital signs
- May help assist with scheduling and patient records
