Job Highlights Youth Apprentices in nurse aide roles join a dedicated nursing team providing the excellent patient care we’ve come to be known for. Job Details Effectively work as part of a team, communicate effectively with close attention to details Maintain academic and attendance requirements for participation in the Youth Apprenticeship Program Participate in progress reviews scheduled with mentors, school staff, parent(s) or guardian(s), and employer Contribute to the overall quality and safe care for patients by answering call lights, taking vital signs and monitoring behavior and physical condition Create a positive patient experience by assisting patients with their activities of daily living including assisting with baths, ambulating, feeding, skin care, personal and oral hygiene and making occupied and unoccupied beds Assist with performing procedures such as toileting, turning, cough and deep breathing, catheter care, collection of biological specimens, measuring and recording intake and output of fluids Contribute to exceptional patient satisfaction by establishing a compassionate environment by timely responses to patients' needs, open communication and providing emotional and psychological support Contribute to safety and quality care by relaying information via charting and communicating to team members Perform other duties as assigned. Job Summary: Assists with administrative and clinical duties of a physician’s office from general office procedures to the technical phases of examining room assisting and elementary medical laboratory techniques. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to patient inquiries both in person and via telephone. Schedules patient appointments. Maintains patient records and perform administrative tasks. Sets up area for exams/procedures and room patients. Instructs patients in the collection of specimens. Assists in performing testing under the supervision of staff. Assists physician with patient care for routine examinations. Cleans and prepares supplies and instruments. Maintains inventory. Obtains vital signs. Respects patient confidentiality and maintains Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
