Job Summary: Assists with administrative and clinical duties of a physician’s office from general office procedures to the technical phases of examining room assisting and elementary medical laboratory techniques. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to patient inquiries both in person and via telephone. Schedules patient appointments. Maintains patient records and perform administrative tasks. Sets up area for exams/procedures and room patients. Instructs patients in the collection of specimens. Assists in performing testing under the supervision of staff. Assists physician with patient care for routine examinations. Cleans and prepares supplies and instruments. Maintains inventory. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
