Come and see why we are The Place to Be. Forest Lake Area School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of a Community Education Youth and Adult Programs Planner. Job Description: Duties include developing, planning, marketing, implementation, supervision and evaluation of social, recreational and educational programming for youth and adults (with an emphasis on adults ages 50+).

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with instructors and activity supervisors to plan and implement social, recreational, and educational programming.
  • Complete onsite visits to classes to assist with check in, observe instructors and ensure programs are running smoothly.
  • Promote all programming opportunities through the catalog, flyers, direct mailings, news releases, social media, and other methods as appropriate for the activity.
  • Build partnerships with participants, instructors, other Community Education staff, school staff, local businesses and community agencies to develop and implement programs.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of community needs and evaluation of programs to ensure Community Education is meeting the needs of the community and providing high quality opportunities.
  • Participate in community and community education partnerships and networking groups.
  • Assisting in developing, reviewing, editing and distributing Community Education and related marketing materials.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service by assisting and communicating with Community Education coordinators, district staff, community members, students and/or parents with program registration, scheduling, cancellations, rescheduling and questions for all Community Education programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
