About The Position

Scope of Position: To provide support and assistance to youth program participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement. This position requires an organized individual who can efficiently handle several responsibilities simultaneously. Essential Functions: · Provide individualized basic skills assessment and identify employment goals based on career interest, ability and personal development considerations · Develop Individual Services Strategy in conjunction with youth · Assist youth in accomplishing the goals of the Individual Service Strategy · Build one-on-one working relationships with youth to assist in mitigating challenges to obtaining and retaining employment · Facilitate educational activities in individual and group settings to remediate basic skills and increase functional educational levels · Coordinate onsite and offsite career awareness field trips with employers and educational facilities · Provide comprehensive case management and follow-up to ensure positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract · Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies as needed · Establish detailed documentation of all client records to maintain organized database and generate all project reports as needed · Provide regular updates to Youth Program Manager · Other opportunities as available Education and Experience Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in business, education, training, human resources or related area is preferred · Experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred · Ability to work independently as well as to function effectively as a team · Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Excellent follow-through when corresponding with partners, staff and customers · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications EDSI is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements
