The Guernsey Youth & Housing Project provides vital support to young people across the Bailiwick aged 13–25. As a Young Persons Practitioner, you will play a key role in empowering young people by delivering personalised support and evidence-based interventions tailored to their individual needs. A core part of the role is working with young people who may be at risk of developing challenges related to substance use, helping them strengthen their personal, social, emotional, and economic wellbeing. In this role as young persons Practitioner, you’ll work collaboratively with young people to develop personalised plans and invest time in building meaningful, trusting relationships that support their growth and future aspirations You will also contribute to the wider preventative work of the service by delivering training and educational sessions to young people and professionals, enabling them to confidently recognise concerns and direct young people to the most appropriate support.
