Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience or technical trade certification
• Basic computer proficiency
• RETA CARO or CIRO certification required or obtainable within 12 months
• Ability to use APR respirators and SCBA
• Ability to perform duties as part of a HAZMAT team
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Wear required PPE including arc flash suits, respirators, and protective clothing
• Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, or wet environments
• Work around high-speed industrial machinery and food allergens
• Ability to certify as a HAZMAT Technician and respond in Level A suit
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
• Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
• Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment

• Ammonia refrigeration systems
• HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, and steam systems

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, steam, and compressed air systems
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Conduct daily ammonia system inspections and rounds
• Support equipment modifications and technical troubleshooting
• Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Root Cause Analysis activities
• Perform maintenance during both production and scheduled downtime
• Assist maintenance technicians and support training of new employees
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
