About The Position

As a Pool Attendant, you will play an important role in assuring aquatics safety and service by assisting Lifeguards with the supervision of individuals using the pools and surrounding areas. Thea Alme, Lifeguard & Swim Instructor said, "I love my job because I have the opportunity to teach people how to be safe and confident in & around the water! In this role, you can look forward to: Assisting Lifeguards with ensuring safety in and around the pool area and water features by being knowledgeable about all safety rules and procedures, observing patrons, and communicating or redirecting as needed. Helping to maintain a clean, safe pool area. Providing exceptional service by communicating appropriately with members, patrons, parents, children and staff members. Attending and be an active participant at staff meetings. Part Time Shifts Available: Monday-Thursday: 2:00 pm-4:00 pm 6:30 pm-9:00 pm Friday: Noon-5:00 pm 5:00 pm-9:00 pm Saturday/Sunday: 9:00 am-1:00 pm 1:00 pm-6:00 pm You'll enjoy a fun, flexible, rewarding work environment and FREE YMCA Membership!
Requirements
- We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- CPR Certification required within 90 days of employment required.
- Ability to monitor pool area & water features and communicate with patrons required.
- This position is open to candidates ages 14 and older.
Nice To Haves
- Interest in becoming a Certified Lifeguard after age 15 preferred.
