Yehi Ohr is an Orthodox program that offers culturally sensitive services to South Florida's Orthodox Community. Its mission is to meet the needs of the Orthodox community with prevention, support and counseling services. The Clinician in the Yehi Ohr behavioral health program provides direct services to the cross section of the program’s caseload including children, adolescents, adults and families in the assigned offices and via telehealth. The clinician will be trained in and assist in the delivery of the Safety Program. The position requires the ability to perform these tasks which include: clinical documentation, statistics, and data reporting. These tasks will be carried out within the agency’s policy of confidentiality and with respect for the clients’ rights.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in major mental health discipline
  • LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC in the State of Florida, preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years post-degree experience, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar working with EHR software
  • Superior clinical skills and experience grounded in best practices
  • Knowledge of cultural issues and demonstrated ability to be sensitive to the range of clients served by the agency
  • Knowledge of Co-Occurring Disorders
  • Demonstrate an ability to work effectively with colleagues, supervisees, and administrators

  • An expressed commitment to the purpose and goals of Jewish Community Services
  • Must have a car and a valid Florida Driver’s License with proof of insurance in accordance with agency requirements and have the ability to travel within Miami-Dade County

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of counseling services in a manner to ensure maximum benefit to clients, this includes presenting the Safety Program to schools assigned
  • Maintain current knowledge of compliance measures, reporting requirements, and best practices for all programs in the department.
  • Ability to provide counseling services to children, families and adults.
  • Participation in community outreach.
  • Flexibility to work at different assigned locations.
  • In-service training participation, as assigned by Supervisor
  • Meet agency expectations of clinical quantitative and evaluative standards.
  • Regular active participation in supervision with supervisor
  • Complete all necessary documentation in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Maintain relationships with public and private schools and develop collaborative partnerships with key school-based personnel.
  • Represent the agency through clinical presentations, trainings, and community outreach activities that support departmental goals, including occasional evenings.
  • Attend and support agency fundraising events, including Milk & Honey and Matzah Mitzvah, and volunteer for additional events as needed.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to the diverse communities and populations served by the agency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, administration, and community partners.
  • Flexible schedule and responsiveness to program needs, crises, and exceptional situations.
  • Participation in quality improvement activities and continuous monitoring of service outcomes.
  • This position is required to actively participate in JCS' Milk and Honey, Matzah Mitzva, Annual Meeting, available to be present at Board and Committee meetings, budget and legislative hearings, and other important management level events. Scheduling of leave time should consider these as priority/mandatory. These events are essential to our organizational culture, and leadership participation is key to fostering team unity, supporting our values, and engaging with our community. Leaders set the standard for involvement and demonstrate commitment to these meaningful, high priority business activities.
