The Senior Yardi Product Specialist provides technical support and assistance to users of our financial software applications. This position is part of the Financial Technology team and collaborates to troubleshoot problems, offer guidance on system features, and maintain smooth operation of our software. Additionally, the Yardi Product Specialist actively contributes to research, design, development, and testing of new functions or reports within project frameworks. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about technology, excel at problem-solving, and enjoy collaborating in dynamic teams. This position reports to the Manager of Product Operations.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree with a BA or BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred. Two-year degree is acceptable with relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working at a help desk or as a software support specialist.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically and critically.
  • Ability to apply new technologies and software applications and understand how systems interconnect to support business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with users of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborate within a team to develop solutions for common or recurring challenges.
  • Familiarity with financial systems software (Yardi, MRI, RealPage, Argus, etc.), productivity software (Teams, Microsoft Office), and helpdesk software (ServiceNow, FreshService, etc.).
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve data and reporting issues effectively.
  • Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn and support, Yardi SQL and YSR (basic to intermediate level).

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of supporting Accounting, Commercial Lease Admin or Yardi International is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-house support for Yardi and other Financial Systems applications such as, Anaplan, Argus, Avid, Blackline, and Concur.
  • Respond promptly to user inquiries regarding software application issues via helpdesk tools.
  • Prioritize incoming requests and resolve technical issues related to software applications, including identifying trends & proposing process/technical approaches for resolution.
  • Adhere to internal audit support procedures and participate in recurring audit support activities as directed by team lead.
  • Ensure that all requests are resolved in alignment with company’s documented controls and change management procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on how to effectively utilize software applications to maximize productivity.
  • Document and maintain records of user issues and resolutions in ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with internal platform teams and application vendor contacts to report bugs and suggest improvements to enhance application functionality and user experience.
  • Deliver expert-level support and advanced troubleshooting for Yardi modules and integrated systems.
  • Support system testing and quality assurance for new functionality, configurations, and upgrades coordinated by internal platform teams and external partners.
  • Basic to intermediate experience in custom report development and troubleshooting (SQL, YSR).
  • Understanding of automatic processes, reporting schedules, and stored procedure maintenance.
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts, including importing/exporting data and working with multiple sources to load data into target systems.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
