About The Position

The Yardi System Administrator/Trainer plays a critical role in supporting TNDC’s mission by ensuring effective use of the property management system across the real estate portfolio. This position is responsible for system administration, staff training, and process optimization, with a focus on driving measurable improvements in operations. This role acts as the bridge between operations, finance, and IT—ensuring that business processes are efficient; data is accurate, and staff receive effective support and training.   • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience administering Yardi systems, preferably in affordable housing or property management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Power BI and report-writing tools (Voyager Reports, SSRS, Yardi Spreadsheet Server, if applicable).
  • Demonstrated experience in training and supporting end-users.

Nice To Haves

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Yardi Voyager modules and associated modules such as Affordable Housing, Maintenance, RENTCafé, Yardi Voyager, Procure2Pay, etc.).
  • Yardi certifications (i.e., Affordable Housing, Financials, Rent Café, and Advanced System Admin).
  • Strong understanding of HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, or other subsidized housing compliance requirements.
  • Experience with SQL, APIs, or data integration tools.
  • Familiarity with IT project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of resident services software or supportive housing programs.
  • Knowledge of Property Operations workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities

  • System Administration: Serve as the primary administrator for property management systems including Yardi Voyager and associated modules (Affordable Housing, RENTCafé, Maintenance, Procure2Pay, etc.).
  • Configure user roles, workflows, and permissions to align with operational and compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with external support and internal IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues and implement updates.
  • Support integrations with other systems in resident portals, payment processing, maintenance/work order system, and CRM case management platforms.
  • Training & Support: Design and deliver training programs across the organization, with heavy emphasis on Property Management and Compliance staff, including onboarding, refresher courses, and new feature rollouts.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, and video tutorials tailored to workflows.
  • Provide ongoing support to staff to ensure consistent and accurate system usage.
  • Coordinate process Improvement. Collaborate with leadership of Property Operations, Compliance, Tenant Services and Maintenance, and other teams across the organization to identify and implement system-based solutions that streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Support the rollout of new modules and features that enhance operational performance.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Compliance, and Maintenance teams.
  • Data Quality, Compliance, Reporting & Analytics: Ensure that Yardi maintains regulatory compliance with HUD, LIHTC, HOME, USDA RD and local programs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot TRACS, 50059s, EIV, and other compliance data flows.
  • Develop, standardized, custom reports and dashboards for leadership, operations, and finance teams.
  • Manage data integrity, perform data audits, and support monthly/annual reporting cycles.
  • Attend meetings and provide data to support data driven decision-making.
