About The Position

Responsible for safe movement/marshalling of rail cars

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to cross train on the following: Locomotive, Track-Mobile, Loader, Forklifts, Track Crane, Scales, and service vehicles along with any other duties assigned by Transportation Leadership
• O nce awarded, job cross training must be completed on all jobs within 18 months
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be safety and business minded, with effective written/ verbal communication skills, and ability to exercise good judgment
• Able to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Exhibit skills sufficient to safely maintain productivity in a changing, fast paced environment
• Willing and able to perform minor maintenance, upkeep of equipment and minor rail track repair

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills
• 2-Year Verifiable work experience in an industrial environment

Responsibilities

• Strict adherence to plant safety rules and procedures
• Instruct the Loco/TrackMobile operator on rail movements throughout the plant in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure rail switches and derails are properly thrown for safe movement
• Willing and able to cover shifts and fill in for overtime when necessary
• Coordinate Rail moves with Meltshop/Shipping
