We are seeking a Yard Technician to join our Ranson, WV factory. This position will work Monday – Friday 10:00pm – 6:00am Pay: $20/hour Ready to help build a better future for generations to come? Your future team: The Yard Technician plays an instrumental role in our production process – getting it started! When raw materials arrive at the site, they’re stored under roof and it’s the job of the Yard Technician to not only fill the raw material silos, but also to run the front-end loader and fill the conveyors that bring the charge into the furnace to begin melting the wool. In a fast-paced working environment you will be responsible for ensuring raw and recycled materials are handled properly in accordance to the demand by the production line.

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, front end load, and skid steer required, preferably in a continuous flow manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Previous experience with raw materials and aggregates preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with raw materials and aggregates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with other operators that may be driving or hauling raw materials or finished product within the yard area of the factory.
  • Fill raw material bins on shift, remove waste and place in appropriate bins, clean out under furnace as required, repair the furnace pit and accurately stock raw materials as they are delivered while safely and effectively operating loaders and other equipment.
  • Accountable for the quality and quantity of product placed in Warehouse or loaded on trailers to support execution of high-quality stone wool by the operations team against the supplied production plan.
  • Clear factory grounds including snow and ice removal as needed, maintain equipment and conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment and act as a first line defense for process, mechanical and technical issues.
  • Adhere to established ROCKWOOL safety, quality and environmental standards to identify and mitigate/escalate quality or environmental risks/issues.
