About The Position
At Prinsco, our yards are where the work gets real. As a Yard Manager, you’ll lead the day‑to‑day operations of the yard, coach your team, and make sure products are handled safely, accurately, and with pride. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who likes being close to the work and developing people along the way. What You’ll Be Doing
Requirements
- 2+ years of warehouse or yard leadership experience
- Strong communicator who can lead with clarity and respect
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable solving real‑world problems
- Comfortable using MS Office and ERP systems (D365 preferred)
- Willing to travel up to 25%
- Able to get forklift certified and meet physical demands of the role
Nice To Haves
- CDL preferred (not required)
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support yard team members every day
- Make sure the right people are in the right roles and clear on expectations
- Oversee shipping, receiving, dispatch, inventory accuracy, and finished goods quality
- Coordinate deliveries with customers, drivers, plants, and outside carriers
- Ensure safe loading/unloading and DOT compliance
- Keep inventory organized and accurate through cycle counts and follow‑up
- Be a safety role model—investigate incidents, improve processes, and work toward zero accidents
- Support continuous improvement and cross‑training across the team
- Use MS D365 (or ERP) for order entry, returns, inventory, and invoicing
- Partner with Operations, Sales, Dispatch, and Manufacturing to meet customer needs
