About The Position

Einfalt Recycling & Salvage Inc. is looking for a no-nonsense Yard Manager to run daily yard operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who can lead from the front, keep workers on task, and maintain order in a fast-paced, industrial yard environment. If you can’t handle long hours, tough conditions, or holding people accountable, this is not the job for you.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a scrapyard, recycling yard, construction yard, or similar environment
• Strong leadership — must be able to take control and give clear direction
• Experience supervising labor crews
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to operate or oversee heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, etc.)
• Strong work ethic — no excuses, no shortcuts
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance (mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily yard operations with efficiency and control
• Supervise crew and ensure work is being done safely and correctly
• Enforce safety rules at all times — zero tolerance for carelessness
• Direct traffic, material flow, and loading/unloading operations
• Monitor and manage scrap sorting, processing, and storage
• Keep the yard clean, organized , and running without downtime
• Identify and report equipment issues immediately
• Train new workers and correct poor performance on the spot
• Maintain discipline and productivity across the crew
• Show up early and get things going for start time.
• close down yard and close up.
• Lead by example — you work just as hard as your crew
• No phone use during working hours except for job-related tasks
• Zero tolerance for unsafe behavior or laziness
• Take responsibility — problems get solved, not passed off
