YARD LABOR & FORKLIFT OPERATOR Union
About The Position
In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to load and unload Mutual Materials products, including hardscape materials. While forklift operation is the primary responsibility, you may also be required to hand-load customer vehicles as needed. Additional duties include maintaining the yard, managing inventory, breaking down pallets, and completing shipping and receiving documentation. As a customer-facing position, delivering exceptional service is essential to maintaining and building positive customer relationships. This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. This role will also require occasional travel to other locations to support team operations at additional branches. This is a union position with contract wages and benefits. New hires must be members of, or willing to join, the local Teamsters union within 30 days of hire.
Requirements
- Similar/related work experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
- The qualified candidate will have great customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a fast-paced distribution team.
- Physical capacity to lift 90+ pounds on an occasional basis; able to be on your feet for most of the day; bending, twisting, and lifting are essential for this position.
- OSHA certified forklift certification/ experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
- New hires must be members of, or willing to join, the local Teamsters union within 30 days of hire.

- Previous experience with masonry products, stone and/or construction practices a plus.
