The Yard Hostler Driver is responsible for moving trailers and other equipment around the yard and ensuring they are properly positioned for loading and unloading. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This role implements practices to ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures, and resolves operational issues, escalating complex issues as needed.
Requirements

- String Knit Gloves
- Fluency in both English & Spanish.
- Must be able to understand written and spoken instructions.
- May be working in crowded industrial spaces, so safety awareness is key
- Some assignments include responsibility to clean trailers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid License
- Must communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with operations, and personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Experience operating a yard tractor or similar equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
- The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment for extended periods of time.
- Willing to load and unload.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.
- One (1) to Two (2) Years professional work experience in a Holster Yard, Warehouse, or a Fulfillment Center in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard tractor.
- Ensure trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading.
- Perform safety checks on equipment before and after use.
- Communicate with other yard personnel to coordinate movements.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
