Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills - Required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in industrial or pressure systems industry – Preferred
  • OSHA Safety Training – Preferred
  • Applicable state or regulatory Cylinder Filling Certification or similar – Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Assist customers with questions about cylinder refills, exchanges, and propane safety.
  • Provide clear instructions on safe handling of propane cylinders.
  • Complete sales transactions, issue receipts, and handle basic point‑of‑sale tasks.
  • Inspect customer cylinders for compliance, safety, and expiration dates before filling.
  • Fill propane cylinders using approved methods and equipment.
  • Ensure valves, fittings, and seals are properly tightened and leak‑checked.
  • Tag, label, or document filled cylinders according to propane regulations.
  • Load/unload cylinders from customer vehicles, carts, or storage racks.
  • Follow all federal, state, and company propane‑handling safety standards (e.g., NFPA 58).
  • Maintain a clean, hazard‑free work yard.
  • Use PPE and ensure customers follow safety protocols on the property.
  • Immediately report leaks, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in required safety meetings and training.
