About The Position

This position is responsible for retrieving rendering trailers that has been visually inspected prior to and immediately after loading of offal, feathers, premium parts, and/or bone residue. Once the trailer has been loaded and weighed, the trailer will be parked on the drain pad for removal of excess water. Each trailer must be acknowledged by a member of management for the following: Time of Day/Night, Trailer #, Accept or Reject to load/haul (ACC or REJ). Any trailer verified and noted as REJ must be physically returned to a status of ACC prior to loading and/or hauling. This includes Foreign Material, excess water, mixed raw materials (i.e., meat & feathers combined) This position is required to climb in and out of the truck. Working in temperatures ranging with the temperatures outside. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment including googles, hair net, beard net, smock, boots, rubber gloves, cotton sleeves, and hearing protection.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE 6 MONTHS OF TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVING EXPERIENCE IN THE IMMEDIATE PAST YEAR.
  • Applicant must be regular full-time team member with minimum of three (3) months seniority.
  • Applicants must not have received any written warnings for disciplinary reasons within three (3) months before the job bid.
  • Applicant must not have received any warnings with suspension within six (6) months before the job bid.
  • Applicant must have a satisfactory attendance record with no more than seven (7) points.
  • Team member may not bid for another position within six (6) months of last successful job bid unless it is a promotion.
  • Must have a valid driver license and at least 18 years of age
  • Must be willing to have MVR ran with no DUI or DWIs within the last 12 months.
  • This facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson.
  • Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieving rendering trailers that has been visually inspected prior to and immediately after loading of offal, feathers, premium parts, and/or bone residue.
  • Loading and weighing trailers.
  • Parking the trailer on the drain pad for removal of excess water.
  • Acknowledging each trailer by a member of management for the following: Time of Day/Night, Trailer #, Accept or Reject to load/haul (ACC or REJ).
  • Physically returning any trailer verified and noted as REJ to a status of ACC prior to loading and/or hauling. This includes Foreign Material, excess water, mixed raw materials (i.e., meat & feathers combined)
