About The Position

The Inventory Person is responsible for issuing all ingredients to and from the production area while maintaining accurate inventory records, a safe work environment, and full compliance with Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • MUST have 3 months' work history within the past 12 months/ 3 months of trailer experience in the past 2 years documented within the application and/or uploaded resume.
  • MUST have a valid State Driver's License (18 years of age, valid state driver's license, and no DUI/DWI’s within the last 12 months).
  • OFFICAL MVR RECORD must be checked POST-OFFER and RECEIVED by Tyson before applicant will be moved into position.
  • MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.
  • MUST BE SAFE AND OBSERVE ALL OF TYSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
  • Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry materials as
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Ability to work in a production or warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, and odors
  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Inventory, warehouse, or production support experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ingredient handling, inventory control, or FIFO practices preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic math and documentation skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and food safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Issue all ingredients to and from the production area in accordance with production schedules
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and transaction records for ingredients and materials
  • Verify ingredient identity, quantity, lot numbers, and expiration dates prior to issuance
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation (FIFO), and handling of ingredients
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns
  • Support production operations by ensuring timely and accurate material availability
  • Operate material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts or pallet jacks) as
  • Complete required documentation and system entries accurately and timely
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory and storage areas
  • Follow all Tyson policies, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and plant safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and inventory control
