About The Position

The Inventory Person is responsible for issuing all ingredients to and from the production area while maintaining accurate inventory records, a safe work environment, and full compliance with Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

MUST have 3 months' work history within the past 12 months/ 3 months of trailer experience in the past 2 years documented within the application and/or uploaded resume.
MUST have a valid State Driver's License (18 years of age, valid state driver's license, and no DUI/DWI’s within the last 12 months).
OFFICAL MVR RECORD must be checked POST-OFFER and RECEIVED by Tyson before applicant will be moved into position.
MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.
MUST BE SAFE AND OBSERVE ALL OF TYSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry materials as
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Ability to work in a production or warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, and odors
Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Inventory, warehouse, or production support experience preferred
Knowledge of ingredient handling, inventory control, or FIFO practices preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic math and documentation skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and food safety standards

Responsibilities

Issue all ingredients to and from the production area in accordance with production schedules
Maintain accurate inventory counts and transaction records for ingredients and materials
Verify ingredient identity, quantity, lot numbers, and expiration dates prior to issuance
Ensure proper storage, rotation (FIFO), and handling of ingredients
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns
Support production operations by ensuring timely and accurate material availability
Operate material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts or pallet jacks) as
Complete required documentation and system entries accurately and timely
Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory and storage areas
Follow all Tyson policies, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and plant safety procedures
Perform other duties as assigned to support production and inventory control
