About The Position

Job Details: Yard Driver Opr DB02U - 3rd Shift - Carthage Plant Hours: Mon-Tues 10:00pm-7:00am Fri. 4:00pm-1:00am and every 3rd Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm Pay: $19.25/hr includes $1 shift pay. Must always operate yard truck in a safe manner by following all safety procedures, Move correct trailer from yard to door and door to yard, Communicate with drivers in a respectful manner, Set reefer units at appropriate settings, Check to see if reefer units will start, Communicate with dispatcher and follow instructions, Chock trailers, Report any fuel or oil leaks to maintenance, Breaks must be staggered, Will be responsible for the cleanliness of the shuttle truck, Will do pre-inspection for safety and mechanical defects on shuttle truck at beginning of shift, Lot checks as requested by management, Other Duties as Assigned. Must be willing to tolerate extreme cold and extreme heat (9-12 hours per day), bend at waist and knees on a repetitive basis (9-12 hours per day), twist and turn (9-12 hours per day), climb in and out of truck cab on a continual basis (9-12 hours per day), able to walk (9-12 hours per day). Must have a clean safety record obtained through MVR clearance. Must possess at least 6 months of experience in operating tractor trailer rigs within the last 2 years. Position requires a valid driver license. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
